4 million doses of Vero Cell vaccine purchased from China arrived

All the amount of 4 million doses of Vero Cell vaccine purchased from China on the GtoG basis has arrived in Nepal with the Nepal Airlines Corporation’s widebody plane A 330 landing in Kathmandu carrying some 800 thousand does of the COVID-19 vaccine from Beijing today. Today’s was the fifth air cargo used to bring the 4 million doses by the aircraft.

Dipu Gwarchan, NAC operation chief and senior pilot, informed that the NAC plane carrying the vaccine from Beijing landed in Kathmandu. With this, 5.8 million doses of Vero Cell, COVID-19 vaccine developed and manufactured by Sinopharm, have entered Nepal. Of this, 4 million is purchased and 1.8 million provided as grant assistance, out of 2 million pledged, by China.
